Halowine is one of six children of late Joseph Rasquinha and late Dulcine Mathias of Upper Bendore, Mangalore. Her father was a Sound Engineer and entrepreneur with his own business in Raipur, he was also a gifted musician. Her mother was an embodiment of patience and a perfect home maker who inculcated leadership qualities in her children. Due to certain unfortunate circumstances Halowine lost both her parents at an early age but their blessings from Heaven have guided the children to their well placed destinies in life.
Halowine did her primary schooling at the Holy Cross School in Raipur and her high school and college education at St. Agnes, Mangalore. Throughout her career she has excelled in her studies as well as displayed her talents in elocution,art and music.
Halowine joined the first batch of students at Fr. Muller’s Homeopathic Medical College and has had the distinction of being a merit student throughout the 5 years. She was voted every year as ‘ Outstanding Student of the Year ‘ throughout the 5 year course, based not only on academics but also on leadership qualities and extra-curricular activities by the faculty.
She was awarded a medal for her dissertation on ‘ Role of Homeopathy in the treatment of Bronchial Asthma’
In 1991 she joined the faculty of Fr. Muller’s Homeopathic Medical College, Mangalore and was selected to attend the Individual Development Course conducted by the HRD Cell of Mangalore University. She has a certificate as a Facilitator for Personality Development Course of AIMS Insight.
Dr. Halowine Coelho was awarded a Gold Medal for her M.D in Homeopathic Repertory and her thesis ‘ Use of Kent’s Repertory for the treatment of Migraine.’
She was one of the first to receive a license to practice Homeopathy in the U.A.E. She has completed 15 years of private practice in Dubai.
She appears on the interview panel of examiners for the Ministry of Health, Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine in U.A.E
She also has a Homeopathic Consultancy in Cupertino under the California Board of Homeopathy, U.S.A
Having moved to U.A.E after her marriage to Mr. Noel Coelho, an entrepreneur and Marketing Manager in Dubai, Halowine left her job as a lecturer in Mangalore to come to the Gulf. She took a break to nurture her two sons Nigel and Karl, who are now responsible young men studying in U.S Universities.
